Robert Waldorf Loveless a.k.a. Bob Loveless or RW Loveless, was born on January 2, 1929 in Warren, Ohio, USA.
His works and results in knifemaking continue to inspire many bladesmiths, including myself.
He was a true pioneer, who wanted to make people understand that a knife may be beautiful and elaborate, but it is still a utility item.
He died on September 2, 2010 and “it left a vacuum in the cutlery world” /Jim Merritt
This knife is designed for everyday use.
Despite its small size, the blade features a robust design. A slotted metal bolster protects the handle from damage and prevents the fingers from sliding onto the edge, while the point hump construction strengthens the point. Thus, although the blade is relatively short, the knife can be used for hunting or even lighter bushcraft activities.
